Weekend wrap up 26 - Wall Decor with recycled craft

This week i didnt do much
just decluttered my sons room
and decorated his room wall
with some simple craft

which i had helped him do
during his winter break .
How i did
For this craft have recycled phone bill papers and cardboard from cartons
the flower is done with pistachio shells i made him colour the shells and then helped him in sticking.

I luv my space and i get irritated when i dont get one .
I am morning person who enjoys getting up when everyone else is sleeping.

I like to sip my tea alone preferably with some good music.

Some musings,bit of cooking and a simple craft

Rush of fresh air on my cheeks
pitter patter rain drops on the street
fluttering of the leaves on the road
life cant be more beautiful than this
this is what i felt when i was waiting for my son at the bus stop,sometimes i feel so blessed to feel all this -)
Coming back to todays post
Last weekend i finally prepared something from my herb garden,
simple salad with purple basil leaves and cottage cheese
recipe is blogged here

took my son to library ,just like me he is fond of reading too ,
and after the reading session we both shared Tiramisu

Converted this empty Jam bottle into tealight holder
 DIY Tealight holder from jam bottle
things needed
clean jam bottle
scrap paper to stick
glue
shells
tea light
glitter
How i did- scraped the label from the jar,stuck the decorative scrap paper
                  did some simple design with glitter
                  kept some shells inside and a tealight .

Handpainted tealight holder

Since past few months this had been lying around in some corner

then one evening i thought of adding some life to it
i painted the base colour red
and did some design with green colour
now i use this for tea lights
to place in front of God and Goddess.

DIY - Key Holder

Are you guys like me
i dont remember where i keep things specially keys
and most of the time i will be seen searching keys
and will always find in some unexpeceted place
so to avoid all this and for some peace
i prepared this

DIY- Key Holder
Things needed
wooden board
 hook two
paint and brush
Procedure
paint any design on the wooden board,let it dry
stick the hooks
and hang it.

DIY on Wooden Board

Tried painting on this wooded board with acrylic paint,could have done much better i knw,:-(
things needed for this activity
wooden board
acrylic paint bronze colour and medium
rope to hang
pencil to draw the draft
Procedure
with help of pencil draw teh design on the wooded board
colour with acrylic paint
let it dry.

this is how this looked once done,..thats all frens cee u all soon...

Handpainted Box

created this personalised gift box out of shoe box which was of no use,..have used water colour to decorate the box

this design is on the lid



have done decorative calligraphy on top and border calligrapgy on the sides

this design is on the side of the lid and the front side of the box,...



and finally on the back of the box have done decorative calligraphy and designed it specially with mango design for the mango mantharam hosted by mahanandi...will be sending this box for the event
