book I luved - blogging for creatives

Yesterday when I saw this book in the library I just felt like going through this book and when I flipped the pages I took it as I was mesmerised by the content and the gorgeous blogs which were listed there.So I made some note in my blog journal and wrote the name of some interesting blogs so that I can go through them when I have time and ya this was therapeutic,..:-)

book I read - A long way from home

the book which kept me engrossed last week is A long way from home by Alice Walsh ,

this one is about 14 year old Rabia who flees from Afghanistan with her mother and younger brother  to America for a better life.There flight is scheduled to land in New York city on the morning of September 11th 2001.On the same plane Colin is travelling with his mom .Both have their own anxiety ,their own worries and what happens when due to the september 11 attack their flight has to land  in small community of Gander Newfoundland.
Read the book to know what happens when the flight lands in Newfoundland and how Colin and Rabia cope up with their anxiety and fear.

book I read and loved - The Playdate

Not always I get a book to read which keeps me engrossed till the last page ,thats what this book did to me,
right from the start till the last page I was so engrossed that it was difficult to keep down the book even for a second .I am talking about the book The Playdate by Louise Millar.

The main characters of the story are Callie and Suzy and the story is about them ,their children and the relationship they have with each other ,read this one for more.

Valentine inspired decor

Inspired by the blogosphere ,I created this Valentine inspired nook
placed some of my favorite things there

and together with the handpainted bottle converted into vase

and the hand crafted picture frame

with one of my favorite quote
this nook was complete .
for the frame
have stuck felt heart on the frame
for the bottle
painted the bottle with glass paint and kept some flowers .

Yesterday had guests at home so did some changes to the decor,

sharing with you all the pics 

entrance

 kept this square pot which I had got from India

planted a money plant and told my son

 that its his responsibility to take care of the plant.

some fresh flower here and there

in the living room add burst of colour

Ganesha got place

near the Ganesha corner

some random items kept in a corner 

in our bedroom to add some zing
and with some aroma therapy
decor was complete
